IELTS Introduces Game-Changing “One Skill Retake” Feature for Test Takers!
IELTS One Skill Retake is the latest feature that allows test takers to retake a specific skill (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam in order to improve their score in that particular area. Instead of retaking the entire test, individuals can focus on the specific skill they wish to enhance, thereby saving time and resources. This feature enables candidates to work on their weaknesses and achieve their desired overall score by targeting specific areas for improvement within the IELTS exam.
The British Council will offer IELTS One Skill Retake in Pakistan from 26 September, and from late 2023, it will be available in selected British Council locations worldwide.
Benefits of IELTS One Skill Retake:
- Focused Improvement: You can enhance your score in a specific skill without retaking the entire test.
- Time and Cost Savings: Save time and money by retesting only one skill instead of all four.
- Familiar Format: The retake follows the same test format, eliminating the need to prepare for a new exam.
- New Test Report Form: You’ll receive a new Test Report Form with your updated score, valid for two years from your original test date.
- No Impact on Original Scores: Your original scores in other skills remain unchanged, and you can choose to use them if preferred.
- You are eligible to book if you have recently completed a full IELTS Computer test.
- You must have received your results from an IELTS test centre offering One Skill Retake.
- You can retake only one skill once per original test, and the retake must occur within 60 days of your original test.
